Other Events

The SVSEF produces two major fundraising events annually: The Fall Game Dinner and Auction and the Janss Pro-Am Classic. Together, these events raise more than $300,000.

The Fall Game Dinner and Auction started in 1976 as a small fundraising dinner where local hunters donated their game to the event. In its 33rd year, the Fall Game Dinner will entertain more than 400 guests with a silent auction, live auction and live music at SunValley's Limelight Room.

The Janss Pro-Am Classic is a three day ski event which includes fabulous parties and a dual GS race on Warm Springs. It is named in honor of Bill Janss, the former owner of Sun Valley who was an avid supporter of the SVSEF. In 1998, Beverly Hay-Dechevrieux worked tirelessly to bring us the first of this now annual event. Working closely with Glenn Janss and Christin Cooper, Beverly modeled the event after other successful profesional-amateur races. The Janss has evolved into one of  "the best parties on snow". Each March we pair amateur skiers with current and former professional skiers. Costumes are encouraged for the "themed" event and everyone has a great time!
