Devo and Prep Freestylers! 

Here is the information I have about the Devo mogul event coming up.  This event is at the Utah Olympic Park.  This is a training hill, not a ski resort.  The UOP is where the Nordic ski jumping site, aerial site, bobsled run and water ramps are built.  The mogul course is very spectator friendly; you do not have to ski to see the event.

 There are several hotels very close to the UOP.  I suggest booking rooms at the Best Western Landmark Inn or the Hampton in which are both within 1 mile of the UOP.  I will be going down on Friday along with 1 other coach to be there for training and coming home after the event on Saturday.  There will be training on Dollar on Sunday, March 17th. 10am-2pm. The coach’s fees for this trip will be estimated at $60 each.  This is based on 10 athletes going.  Please RSVP with me if you plan on attending.  Your account will be billed for this trip.  Lift tickets will parent's responsibility at the UOP.  I do not know how much the lift tickets are but they are not expensive.

Below is the tentative schedule.  The only thing I am not positive on is Friday Training.  I am waiting to hear.  The event has been relocated to the UOP to keep the costs down for the athletes and families.

4-7 p.m. – Registration 3^rd Floor UOP museum * UOP waiver must be completed if you have not filled one out this year. 

5-7 p.m. –Training @ UOP

Saturday March 16, 2013

9:30-10:30 am – Registration and check-in 

10:30-11:30 am – Warm-up 

11:30 p.m. – Meet start time

11:30-2:30 p.m. – Meet

Awards will be immediately following event either at the finish outside or third floor of the museum depending on weather.
