The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s Janss Pro-Am Classic is scheduled for April 7-9, 2011. This is one of our most important fundraisers of the year and we are thrilled to announce Stifel Nicolaus Weisel as the Title Sponsor.
The Janss Pro-Am ski and snowboard participants will team with former Olympian, Pro Tour and World Cup racers for three days of racing and fun-filled festivities. The reputation of the Janss Pro-Am as a first-class, fun-spirited and professionally produced event is enviable – “the best event of its kind” - and not to be missed. New for this year: In addition to the Pro, every team will have a “Junior Pro” assigned to their team. The “Junior Pro” will be a current athlete selected from the SVSEF teams. Event registration is currently open. You may take part in the Stifel Nicolaus Weisel Janss Pro-Am Classic as a corporate team sponsor (invite valued and potential clients and/or employees to be on your team), team sponsor or individual racer. All abilities are encouraged. Racers will be handicapped and everyone has a fair chance to win.
Named for Bill Janss, former owner of Sun Valley Resort, the event raises money that supports over 500 young athletes who participate on alpine, freestyle, cross-country and snowboard teams. The SVSEF provides an average of $100,000 in annual scholarship assistance and is recognized as one of the nation’s top winter sports programs. By requiring high character and academic standards, the SVSEF strives to provide the best athletic and learning environments possible. Hats off to SUN VALLEY!

The Janss Pro-Am Classic, founded in 1998 by Beverly Hay DeChevrieux, mixes a Pro Racer with four "citizen" skier or snowboarders of all skill levels, to create 5 member teams that compete for prizes (including best costume) and titles. Each year we make this "the best party on snow" and combine three days of social parties with on-snow fun! This is one event you do not want to miss!
