To sign up for the Bruneau trip email firstname.lastname@example.org before Friday October, 17 so we have time to go grocery shopping and check for current paperwork …
Who: Both the Lake Creek and Quigley Devo Teams and all Prep Team Members are welcome, as long as they are comfortable staying away from home overnight! Coaches from both Devo and Prep teams will be chaperoning this trip!
What (to bring): Camping gear; tent (you can arrange to share with a friend), sleeping bag, pad, pillow, fork, spoon, bowl, mug, flashlight, warm clothing (insulated jacket, warm ski pants, hat gloves, lots of layers, etc), sled, sun glasses or goggles, water bottles, Frisbee/balls, other fun items, and your happy smiling faces… …please no candy or electronic games…
Where: Bruneau Sand Dunes
When: Saturday, October 25-Sunday, October 26
Why: This is a great time to get together with old ski team friends, meet new ones, and play on the biggest sand dune in North America!
How: We will be taking Team vans: Vans will leave Lake Creek at 8:30am on Sat the 27th and from the Roberta McKercher RV pullout in Hailey at 9:00am. We will drop off Sunday the 28th @ Roberta McKercher at 5:00 and Lake Creek at 5:30. Please be on time or early for departures, it is never fun to have one kid holding up the whole group, and we have been known to leave without people…
Questions: If you have more questions or concerns contact email@example.com or call Dave at 720-1479
Cost: $85.00 per skier for food, vans, camp fees etc…
Checks can be written to SVSEF and must be mailed or dropped off to Mimi at the Warmsprings office by Wednesday 10/22 – Prep team skiers can also turn in checks at practice before the 22h
* Skiers must have all SVSEF registration forms turned in to be able to travel with the team including a current USSA membership, forms can be downloaded from www.svsef.org*
-A question has come up about whether or not parents are needed at Bruneau…-
We see it as ….
As much as we appreciate and love parent involvement in SVSEF and on the cross country team; having parents along when we got to Bruneau can take away from some of the major goals we have for this trip like; coach-skier bonding, and general team bonding. We have found kids are more willing to be part of the group when their parents are not there and we really feel this is a key part of the Bruneau experience.
Thank you in advance for your help in this department.
