Scott McGrew – Assistant program director and head coach of the U16 team, Scott is a Level 300 coach, Level 200 referee and Wilderness EMT. He raced for the University of Washington from 1995 to 1999, before earning undergraduate degrees in biology and anthropology from the University of New Mexico. He is currently working toward a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Boise State University. A SVSEF alum, Scott has been an alpine coach with us since 2003 and served as assistant program director for several years.
Sarah Mazzola-Schwing – Sarah has spent 15 years altogether with the SVSEF; seven as a coach and 15 as an alumni. As many of our athletes, she began her ski racing career on the Devo Team with Doran Key and progressed to the FIS level her senior year in high school, collecting an Intermountain championship and racing on the NorAm level before landing at the University of New Hampshire as a ski racer. Sarah is a Level 200 coach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Nevada-Reno.
Brett Jacobson – In his fourth year as a coach with the SVSEF alpine program, Brett, a Level 200 coach, is one of three alumni on the U16 staff. A collegiate racer at Montana State in Bozeman, Jacobson shone in speed events, finishing fourth in super G at the National Junior Championships in 1997.
Galen Webster – A six-year coach with the SVSEF, Galen, originally from Syracuse, New York, attended and raced for Burke Mountain Academy and St. Lawrence University. A Level 200 coach, Galen was also a FIS coach at Green Mountain Valley School and head coach of the Hailey Ski Team.
