Brett Morris, U14 Head Coach
A seventh-year coach with the program, Brett grew up racing for the SVSEF and was one of the top juniors in the country, specializing in downhill and super G. He won the Canadian Junior Championships in downhill and posted several top-five finishes in the U.S. Junior National Championships. An up-and-comer with the U.S. Ski Team before injury derailed his racing career, Brett subsequently delved deeply into exploring the mind though Vipassana Meditation. In addition he has practiced hatha yoga and tai chi for many years, plus many different dietary programs and philosophies.
A Level 300 coach, Brett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of Montana and a Master of Arts in Asian and Buddhist Studies from University of Sunderland in the U.K Brett is a voracious learner and constantly studying.
Brett finds satisfaction in helping athletes become As a teacher and coach he gets great satisfaction in helping athletes become “solid and excellent skiers, as well as independent, thoughtful and well-rounded people who are ready to excel at whatever they do.”
A devoted ski racer, Charlotte started with the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation as a member of the D Team. She went on to compete at the Division I level while attending Whitman College in Washington. “I loved every minute of it,” she said. Charlotte is a fourth-year coach with the SVSEF.
Originally from Great Falls, Montana, “Murph” was a collegiate racer at Montana State and has been coaching for the SVSEF since 2002. Matt claims to be the better looking of the two Murphy brothers. We know he is younger.
A longtime coach with the SVSEF, Chase brings nine years of experience to the team.
